Roilya Ranaivosoa, Olympic scholarship: “The race for Paris 2024 begins with the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham”

The Weightlifter Roilya Ranaivosoa is preparing herself in Qatar for the Commonwealth Games scheduled for July 28-August 8 in Birmingham, England. The Olympic scholarship holder, the only Mauritian medalist at the 2018 Games in Gold Coast, Australia, hopes to grab a place on the podium in Her Majesty’s country. She had won the silver medal in the 48 kg category with a performance of 170 kg in the Olympic total four years ago.

For Roilya Ranaivosoa, the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham are of utmost importance. “The race for Paris 2024 begins with this Commonwealth Games.” Henceforth, she thanked the Mauritian Olympic Committee for its unconditional support. “The COM gives the supervision that the athletes need”.
