Forum in Uganda : A preview of the organisation and Preparation for Paris 2024

Participating in a forum in Uganda on the theme ‘NOC Games Preparation – Regional Forums for NOCs of Africa’ in Uganda, the Secretary General of the Mauritius Olympic Committee, Mr. Hedley Han, underlined that different aspects of the organisation of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have been addressed. This two-day forum (July 8-9) at the Munyonyo Speak Resort was organized by the Olympic Solidarity in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee for the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Africa.

“Paris 2024 is just around the horizon. There were presentations of the organisation of Paris 2024, the sports selected and the different places where the event will take place. Preparation of athletes and possible funding sources were also discussed. These presentations from the IOC and Paris 2024 Organising Committee officials, so that we can prepare for the games. We were called upon to submit projects that Olympic Solidarity could possibly finance,” explains Mr. Hedley Han.

The General Secretary of the MOC was accompanied by his Finance Officer, Mr. Yohan Toocaram, at this workshop, with also the participation of about 30 NOCs .
