Christianne Legentil, Vice-champion of Africa

Great performance by Christianne Legentil in Oran, Algeria. In this new category (-57kg), she came vey close to gold by falling against the Algerian Yamina Halata in the final. The Rodriguan-born judoka regains the African podium after five years and her seventh place in the 2021 edition. In this tournament, the Mauritian recorded two victories against the Egyptian Lamiaa Alzenan and the South African Jasmine Martin respectively.

Now, Christianne Legentil as well as Priscilla Morand, our African champion in the -48kg category, can focus entirely on the Commonwealth Games, scheduled from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England.
