Under the aegis of the Mauritius Olympic Committee and the invaluable support of the Olympic Solidarity, the Sport Administration Course (SAC) took place in Rodrigues Island from March 23rd to March 25th, 2023. The course, guided by our esteemed Olympic Solidarity Program Directors, Mr. Sanjaye Goboodun and Mr. Jacques Malie, was a testament to the commitment of all those involved in advancing sports in Mauritius.
A dynamic team of facilitators, including the Finance Officer Mr. Yohan Toocaram and the 1st Vice President of the Mauritius Olympic Committee, Mr. Richard Papie, played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the event. The workshop, hosted at the Malabar Gymnasium, brought together 20 students hailing from various sporting backgrounds. They enthusiastically delved into discussions covering essential topics such as good governance for sports organizations, the values and principles of ethical sport, and much more. This intensive training program provided valuable insights and tools that are crucial for the efficient management of sports organizations.
At the culmination of this enriching experience, participants were awarded with certificates from the Olympic Solidarity and the Mauritius Olympic Committee.
