The President of the Mauritius Olympic Committee and the Commonwealth Games Association Mauritius reiterated his confidence in the athletes and Team officials who will be part of the trip to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games (July 28-August 8). His message during the gathering of the Mauritian delegation on Wednesday evening in Côte d’Or: ” To our athletes and Team officials, it is important for you to know that we are on track for a very special event, where I have every confidence that I can count on your continued dedication, team spirit and support in making the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games a memorable and exclusive one for Mauritius where we can bring medals and good memories back home.”
Mr. Philippe Hao Thyn Voon then underlined the strength of the athletes to have overcome the challenges in great uncertainty linked to the Covid pandemic in order to be part of the Mauritius team. “The moment you’ve been waiting for has come. It’s your time to shine ever brighter than before.”
The President of the MOC also recalled that thanks to the undeniable support of the government and the Ministry of Sports, the sports community and the athletes have benefited from the many facilities made available to them.
